* arm: imx53-qsrb: fix initcalls on START-R boardstable/v2014.05Lucas Stach2014-11-071-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | The compatible changed when we switched to the upstream DTs, so the initcalls would not be executed on the START-R board. Signed-off-by: Lucas Stach <l.stach@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* of_partition: devfs_add_partition returns an error pointerSascha Hauer2014-08-011-1/+6
| | | | | | | | Check for the return value of devfs_add_partition with IS_ERR. Otherwise we dereference a NULL pointer when devfs_add_partition fails. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

* ARM: bootm: fix default uImage placementLucas Stach2014-07-091-7/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | For small systems we would put the zImage at 32KiB after the start of memory, and put the DT a bit after the uImage. The kernel will always try to relocate itself and overwrite the DT. Try to be more clever at uImage placement to avoid triggering the kernel relocation. * ARM: bootm: be more clever while deciding where to put zImageLucas Stach2014-07-091-28/+29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | For small systems we would put the zImage at 8MiB after the start of memory, and put the DT a bit after the zImage. When we encounter an image which is bigger than 8MiB uncompressed, the kernel would try to relocate itself and overwrite the DT. Try to be more clever at zImage placement to avoid triggering the kernel relocation. Signed-off-by: Lucas Stach <l.stach@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

* mtd: nand-bb: use list_for_each_entry_safeSascha Hauer2014-04-291-2/+2
| | | | | | | | We need list_for_each_entry_safe in dev_remove_bb_dev since the list entries are removed during iteration over the list. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de> Reported-by: Alexander Aring <alex.aring@gmail.com>
* genenv: fix tempdir creation when target is a relative pathSascha Hauer2014-04-291-1/+20
| | | | | | | | | | when $target is a path relative to $objtree the script fails. This is because we cd to $basedir and then copy to $tempdir which then is no longer valid. Fix this by converting $tempdir to an absolute path first. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de> Tested-by: Christoph Fritz <chf.fritz@googlemail.com>
* make: fix searchpath of generated autoconf.hSilvio Fricke2014-04-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | If barebox is builded out-of-tree we don't find the autogenerated autoconf.h because we search in the srctree. With this patch we don't get this error message: cc1: fatal error: /[...]/barebox/include/generated/autoconf.h: No such file or directory Signed-off-by: Silvio Fricke <silvio.fricke@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Actually loady command uses '-g' option for Y-Modem/G mode selection; see loady() function: while ((opt = getopt(argc, argv, "b:t:g")) > 0) { switch (opt) { ... case 'g': is_ymodemg = 1; break; By mistake help message show '-y' option for Y-Modem/G mode selection. While porting Barebox to one of our boards, we found that the AT91 UDC driver will fail to connect to USB hosts, and will spam the console with errors if the VBUS pin isn't connected. * devfs-core: return new cdev also for mtd partitionsSascha Hauer2014-04-091-1/+1

* of_gpio: return error if no device foundSascha Hauer2014-04-091-3/+3

* loadenv: detect truncated environment filesSascha Hauer2014-04-091-7/+24
| | | | | | | | Properly detect when an environment file is truncated. This can happen when a previous saveenv failed because the environment partition is too small. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* saveenv: Properly detect write errorsSascha Hauer2014-04-091-6/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | The return value check of the write call is completely bogus. We check if we have written at minimum sizeof(struct envfs_super) bytes instead of all bytes. Properly check for all bytes written instead and allow write to write less bytes than requested. Do not use write_full because this file is compiled for userspace aswell. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* loadenv: ignore -ENOENT when removing /envSascha Hauer2014-04-091-1/+1

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The eTSEC 2.0 devices found on the 85xx family of SoCs support stashing buffer descriptors in the L2 cache. This updates the device tree fixup for these devices to ensure that the stashing related properties used by Linux are initialised correctly. | * ppc: add Freescale P1022DS board supportRenaud Barbier2014-03-1915-4/+575
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add support for the Freescale P1022DS. Driver support is limited to: - I2C - Ethernet - Serial - NOR flash - PIXIS FPGA System clock configuration is read from the FPGA but has only been tested using a 133MHz system clock and 100MHz DDR clock. Boot arguments are defined in the environment to boot over NFS with a console configured at 115200 bauds. Enabling branch prediction is moved from board support to the platform support for all boards as it is a CPU feature. Some the code is from U-Boot version git-be937b5. | * ppc: mpc8xxx: add DDR3 supportRenaud Barbier2014-03-1912-100/+811
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add DDR3 support into the MPC8xxx DDR driver. To avoid confusion, the function set_ddr_sdram_mode is renamed set_ddr2_sdram_mode. Checking for errors is simplified in the DDR2 DIMM parameters computation to be consistent with DDR3. This code is derived from the files found in directory drivers/ddr/fsl from U-Boot version git-be937b5. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Was tested on NAND with {writesize=4096, oobsize=224} and {writesize=2048, oobsize=64}. | * | mtd: Update internal API to support 64-bit device sizeDmitry Lavnikevich2014-03-1210-20/+39
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | MTD internal API presently uses 32-bit values to represent device size. This patch updates them to 64-bits but leaves the external API unchanged. In general, changing from 32-bit to 64-bit values cause little or no changes to the majority of the code with the following exceptions: - printk message formats; - division and modulus of 64-bit values (mtd_div_by_wb, mtd_div_by_eb may be used in some of such cases).
