* ARM: Cleanup stack offset cargo cultSascha Hauer2019-09-091-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Most callers of arm_setup_stack substract a fixed offset of 8, 12 or 16 bytes from the stack top. This is unnecessary as on ARM we have a stack that decrements before storing values. Substracting this offset probably goes back to the U-Boot version we forked from. Stop this now. * ARM: boards: Harmonize barebox_arm_reset_vector() prototypeSascha Hauer2019-03-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | barebox_arm_reset_vector() is a global function but we never provided a prototype anywhere. The prototypes differ for the different boards, so to provide a common prototype we must harmonize them. void barebox_arm_reset_vector(uint32_t r0, uint32_t r1, uint32_t r2) Should be suitable for all boards. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* ARM: at91: remove mach/io.hSascha Hauer2018-11-061-1/+0
| | | | | | | Remove at91_sys_read() and at91_sys_write() since these are no longer used. This makes mach/io.h empty so remove that aswell. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* at91sam9m10g45ek, at91sam9m10ihd, pm9g45: move reset vector to board codeSam Ravnborg2018-01-092-0/+27
| | | | | | | | | | | | These three board share the same at91sam9g45_lowlevel_init.c file. Introduce lowlevel.c file for the boards that contains the reset vector. Delete the now unused at91sam9g45_lowlevel_init.c file Drop unused CONFIG symbols and Makefile references Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Reviewed-by: Andrey Smirnov <andrew.smirnov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* atmel_lcdfb: define power_control gpio in platform_dataSam Ravnborg2017-09-061-25/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Simplify board specific code by specifying the power_control gpio direct in platform data. Move registration of the GPIO to the driver so we no longer need to duplicate this for each board. As an intended side-effect there is no longer any references to platform_data outside atmel_lcdc_register() so remove it from struct atmel_lcdfb_info The implementation assumes that GPIO=0 is the same as no power control. This prevents us from using any GPIO=0 for power control, but this is not considered a problem for current users. Future DT users will not have this limitation. This commit include a fix so we will actually power down if requested. Previously this was hardcoded to ON. * param: make parameter functions more consistentSascha Hauer2017-04-111-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch creates a consitent set of device parameter functions. With this we have: dev_add_param_<type><access> "type" is one of: int32, uint32, int64, uint64, string, mac, ipv4, enum, bitmask The improvement here is that we now can exactly specify the width of the int type parameters and also correctly distinguish between signed and unsigned variables which means that a variable no longer ends up with INT_MAX when it's assigned -1. "access" can be empty for regular read/write parameter, "_ro" for readonly parameters which get their value from a variable pointer in the background or "_fixed" for parameters which are set to a fixed value (without a pointer in the background). Some more exotic types are not (yet) implemented, like dev_add_param_ip_ro. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* global: Make 'global' command behaviour consistent to 'nv'Sascha Hauer2016-09-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | The 'nv' command can add/remove multiple variables. Implement that for the 'global' command aswell. Also with the 'nv' command the -r option is for removal of variables, not for "set match". Looking at the users of "global -r" the only user uses the command for removal of variables and not for "Setting multiple variables to the same value" as stated in the command help text. Let "global -r" remove variables aswell. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* defaultenv-2: remove unused *-menu-add-entry callsSascha Hauer2016-08-263-15/+0
| | | | | | | The *-menu-add-entry functions no longer exist in defaultenv-2, so remove the calls to these functions. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* defaultenv-2: remove ps1 duplicatesSascha Hauer2016-08-261-9/+0
| | | | | | | | Some boards duplicate the PS1 initialization to add a '#' at the end of the prompt. It's not worth duplicating this for this purpose. Remove them. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* boards: Use nv.linux.bootargs.console for setting the console= commandline ↵Sascha Hauer2015-02-231-0/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | parameter Using a dedicated variable makes it easier to change the console= parameter without affecting other values. Also the linux.bootargs.console variable is already used by common/console.c. Using the same variable in the environment avoids giving duplicate console= twice to the kernel Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de> Suggested-by: Teresa Gámez <t.gamez@phytec.de>
* sizes.h: move include/sizes.h to include/linux/sizes.hMasahiro Yamada2015-01-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This file originates in Linux. Linux has it under include/linux/ directory since commit dccd2304cc90. Let's move it to the same place as well in barebox. This commit was generated by the following commands: find -name '*.[chS]' | xargs sed -i -e 's:<sizes.h>:<linux/sizes.h>:' git mv include/sizes.h include/linux/ Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* defaultenv-2: Make use of nonvolatile variablesSascha Hauer2014-11-065-27/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This moves the variable assignments previously done in /env/config-board to non volatile variables in /env/nv/. This makes the settings adjustable by the user without editing a file. Most of the changes are simple conversions which for many boards makes /env/config-board unnecessary. Some boards had some logic to assign global.boot.default based on the current bootsource. This has been moved to /env/init/bootsource. An additional check is added to not overwrite a nv.boot.default should it exist. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* mtd: atmel_nand: retrieve ecc_mode from pdataRaphaël Poggi2014-09-021-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | By retrieving the ecc_mode from pdata we can use the same code for device tree and non device tree probing. Which was not possible before, because ecc_mode was arbitrarily set to NAND_ECC_SOFT. Signed-off-by: Raphaël Poggi <poggi.raph@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* move file helper functions to separate fileSascha Hauer2014-08-071-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | We have our file helper functions in several places. Move them all to lib/libfile.c. With this we no longer have file helpers in fs/fs.c which contains the core fs functions and no functions in lib/libbb.c which are not from busybox. | * Set model and hostname at boardlevelSascha Hauer2013-08-162-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With multiboard support the compiletime generated BOARDINFO string gets more and more meaningless. This removes it from Kconfig and replaces it with a variable that can be set at boardlevel. Also many boards have a standard setting for the hostname in the environment. This patch also moves the standard to C code by calling barebox_set_hostname(). Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
