* mfd: mc13892: more descriptive charger register definesAlexander Kurz2016-11-071-3/+1
| | | | | | | | Make access to the mc13892 charger parameter voltage, current and max power dissipation readable in terms of millivolts, milliamps and milliwatts. Signed-off-by: Alexander Kurz <akurz@blala.de> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* defaultenv-2: remove unused *-menu-add-entry callsSascha Hauer2016-08-261-5/+0
| | | | | | | The *-menu-add-entry functions no longer exist in defaultenv-2, so remove the calls to these functions. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* mfd: mc13xxx: VGEN1 and VGEN2 voltage bits positioned in "Regulator Setting ↵Alexander Shiyan2016-07-071-3/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | 0" register The bits VGEN10-11 and VGEN20-22 is positioned in the Regulator Setting 0 register. This patch fixes these definitions and board (Efika MX), which uses this voltages. Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* ARM: i.MX: remove unused imx-flash-header.hSascha Hauer2016-04-011-1/+0
| | | | | | | All i.MX images are nowadays built with the imx-image tool, so we do not need the header files and Kconfig options anymore. Remove them. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* ARM: i.MX51 Efikasb: Disable backlight earlierSascha Hauer2015-07-131-2/+1
| | | | | | | | Set the backlight enable gpio to disabled earlier during startup to avoid flicker when the pinmux is configured but not yet the enable gpio. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* boards: Use nv.linux.bootargs.console for setting the console= commandline ↵Sascha Hauer2015-02-231-0/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | parameter Using a dedicated variable makes it easier to change the console= parameter without affecting other values. Also the linux.bootargs.console variable is already used by common/console.c. Using the same variable in the environment avoids giving duplicate console= twice to the kernel Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de> Suggested-by: Teresa Gámez <t.gamez@phytec.de>

| * defaultenv-2: Make use of nonvolatile variablesSascha Hauer2014-11-066-29/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This moves the variable assignments previously done in /env/config-board to non volatile variables in /env/nv/. This makes the settings adjustable by the user without editing a file. Most of the changes are simple conversions which for many boards makes /env/config-board unnecessary. Some boards had some logic to assign global.boot.default based on the current bootsource. This has been moved to /env/init/bootsource. An additional check is added to not overwrite a nv.boot.default should it exist. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* | ARM: i.MX51 efikasb: register init callback for PMIC initSascha Hauer2014-11-201-12/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | So that the PMIC initialisation is called once it's available. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* | ARM: i.MX51 efikasb: Use defaultenv_append_directorySascha Hauer2014-11-209-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | To have the smartbook specific env available in the multi image. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* | ARM: imx5: add imx5_cpu_lowlevel_init and use in all boardsLucas Stach2014-11-071-1/+2
|/ | | | | | | | This is similar to what we do on imx6 and makes sure we apply the errata workarounds early. Signed-off-by: Lucas Stach <l.stach@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

| * remove unused boot-menu-add-entrySascha Hauer2014-06-232-10/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The boot-menu-add-entry script no longer exists. Remove it from boot scripts. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* | ARM: i.MX: remove console= from env filesSascha Hauer2014-06-231-8/+0
|/ | | | | | | | For i.MX devicetree boards the console= parameter is automatically generated and can be dropped from the env files. If a file becomes empty then, remove it. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* ARM: i.MX: bbu: remove dcd arguments from bbu registrationSascha Hauer2014-05-091-7/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | The i.MX barebox update handlers take an optional dcd table as argument. This can be used to add the correct dcd data to the image before flashing it. This mechanism is quite complicated and largely unused, so remove it. With this it is only possible to flash the exact image passed to barebox_update, which is what is mostly done anyway. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* ARM: change signature of barebox_arm_entryLucas Stach2014-05-051-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Mostly to make it clear that boarddata needs to be something we can dereference. As this is a pretty invasive change, use the opportunity to make the signature 64bit safe. Signed-off-by: Lucas Stach <l.stach@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

| * ARM: remove armlinux_set_bootparams() calls from boardsSascha Hauer2014-01-061-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | As the place for the atags now is determined automatically the call from the boards can be removed. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* | ARM: Make ENTRY_FUNCTION more robustSascha Hauer2013-12-101-3/+1
|/ | | | | | | | | | An entry function should begin with a exception header. For this to work properly the entry function should not contain any code which gcc might put before the header. To make this sure change the ENTRY_FUNCTION macro so that it generates one function which only contains the exception header and a second function which contains the original body of the entry function. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* treewide: Add missing includesSascha Hauer2013-11-081-0/+1
| | | | | | | | A lot of files rely on include/driver.h including include/of.h (and this including include/errno.h. include the files explicitly so we can eventually get rid of including of.h from driver.h Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* Set model and hostname at boardlevelSascha Hauer2013-08-162-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | With multiboard support the compiletime generated BOARDINFO string gets more and more meaningless. This removes it from Kconfig and replaces it with a variable that can be set at boardlevel. Also many boards have a standard setting for the hostname in the environment. This patch also moves the standard to C code by calling barebox_set_hostname(). Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

* | ARM: generate imx dcd.S files as *.dcd.SSascha Hauer2013-07-101-2/+2
|/ | | | | | | | The compiled in dcd images generate an intermediate assembly file. Instead of generating them as *.S generate them as *.dcd.S to better identify them as generated files. These are then added to .gitignore. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

* ARM: i.MX51 efikasb: add flash environment supportSascha Hauer2013-06-251-1/+10
| | | | | | | The Efikasb has a m25p80 SPI NOR flash. Add support for putting the environment on it. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* ARM: i.MX51 efikasb: call imx51_lowlevel_init from lowlevel initSascha Hauer2013-06-182-5/+3
| | | | | | | Adjusting the PLLs when MMU/caching is already enabled seems to be unstable on the Smartbook, so do it during early init. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

* bootsource: create arch independent bootsource frameworkMarc Kleine-Budde2013-04-041-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch seperates the imx independent from the arch independent code. The following functions and enums are renamed: - imx_bootsource() -> bootsource_get() - imx_set_bootsource() -> bootsource_set() - enum imx_bootsource -> enum bootsource Signed-off-by: Marc Kleine-Budde <mkl@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* ARM: i.MX: rename barebox_loc to bootsourceSascha Hauer2013-04-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Rename the barebox_loc environment variable to bootsource, since - barebox_loc is a mixture between abbriviation and fulltext which is not nice - technically it describes the source the SoC has booted from. This is not necessarily barebox but could also be some other first stage loader. * ARM i.MX bootsource: convert enums from enum imx_bootsource to uppercaseMarc Kleine-Budde2013-03-261-1/+1
| | | | | | | Enums are in the same way as defines, so write them in uppercase. Signed-off-by: Marc Kleine-Budde <mkl@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

* defenv2: move config-board out of /env/initSascha Hauer2013-02-141-0/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Having the board config file in /env/init has the problem that the settings in /env/config are overwritten in the init sequence. This moves the config-board files to /env/ and sources them explicitly from /env/bin/init before sourcing /env/config Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* arm: rename reset and common_reset to barebox_arm_reset_vector and ↵Jean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD2013-02-081-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | arm_cpu_lowlevel_init reset is confusing with the cpu reset and impossible to grep Signed-off-by: Jean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD <plagnioj@jcrosoft.com> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* ARM i.MX boards: switch to barebox_arm_entrySascha Hauer2013-02-042-0/+11
| | | | | | | Most i.MX boards can use the imx*_barebox_entry functions. The remaining (i.MX21, i.MX6) use hardcoded base addresses. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
