* Documentation: remove doxygen documentationSascha Hauer2014-06-261-34/+0
| | | | | | | The doxygen documentation is long outdated. Remove it. It will be replaced with sphinx based documentation later. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* x86: ns16550: Rework driver to allow for x86 I/O spaceMichel Stam2014-04-091-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | The current implementation fakes a memory-mapped I/O device at 0x3f8 and 0x2f8, then uses platform read/write functions to do the actual reading and writing. These platform functions only exist for the x86 platform; better to move the I/O routines into the driver and have the driver request I/O ports using request_ioport_region. * Set model and hostname at boardlevelSascha Hauer2013-08-161-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | With multiboard support the compiletime generated BOARDINFO string gets more and more meaningless. This removes it from Kconfig and replaces it with a variable that can be set at boardlevel. Also many boards have a standard setting for the hostname in the environment. This patch also moves the standard to C code by calling barebox_set_hostname(). Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

* Treewide: remove address of the Free Software FoundationSascha Hauer2012-09-172-8/+0
| | | | | | | The FSF address has changed in the past. Instead of updating it each time the address changes, just drop it completely treewide. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

* Use DEVICE_ID_DYNAMIC where applicableSascha Hauer2012-04-161-1/+2
| | | | | | | We now have DEVICE_ID_DYNAMIC for dynamic allocation of device ids, Use it where applicable. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

* ns16550: switch to resourceJean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD2011-08-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | use generic read/write depending on the memory size if no reg_read/write defined Signed-off-by: Jean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD <plagnioj@jcrosoft.com>
* ns16550: if not specific f_caps defined use default stdin, stdout, stderrJean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD2011-07-301-1/+0

* add a add_mem_device functionSascha Hauer2011-07-181-14/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Add a helper function for boards to register their memory devices. This makes the board code smaller and also helps getting rid of map_base and struct memory_platform_data. And switch all of the memory to it Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Jean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD <plagnioj@jcrosoft.com>
* mem: replace DEVFS_RDWR by IORESOURCE_MEM_WRITEABLEJean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD2011-07-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | we keep struct memory_platform_data for now on we will switch off the memories resources to struct resource Signed-off-by: Jean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD <plagnioj@jcrosoft.com>

* Don't try to guess the size of a disk if its size value is already givenJuergen Beisert2010-10-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Guessing the size of an attached harddisk (access via x86 BIOS) was needed due to the fact, barebox can't query this information from the BIOS easily. But with the SD/MMC cards, there will be a second user of the generic disk handling routines. And with this media it is very easy to know its size. This patch provides a workaround to keep the guessing feature if the size of the registered disk is 0. If it is not 0, the given value will be used instead. Note: This is in preparation to add MCI card support, which can be handled like a disk drive. Signed-off-by: Juergen Beisert <jbe@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* driver: use id as -1 for auto assigned idJean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD2010-09-201-0/+3
| | | | | | | | before if you specify id = 0 the next available id will be taken otherwise fail if already registered now as in linux we use -1 Signed-off-by: Jean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD <plagnioj@jcrosoft.com> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* move boards to arch/<architecure>/boardsJean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD2010-07-236-0/+245
this will allow each arch to handle the boards more simply and depending on there need the env var BOARD will refer to the current board dirent for sandbox as we have only one board the board dirent is arch/sandbox/board Signed-off-by: Jean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD <plagnioj@jcrosoft.com> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
