From 00ce25c6dcdae5582ae4be37147ab33678adc995 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Sascha Hauer Date: Fri, 25 Apr 2014 11:22:32 +0200 Subject: Add devicetree source files as of Linux-3.15-rc2 This adds the Linux dts files to barebox. The dts files are generated from Ian Campbells device-tree-rebasing.git: git://xenbits.xen.org/people/ianc/device-tree-rebasing.git The dts are found in dts/ in the barebox repository and will be updated from upstream regularly, probably for each upstream -rc. To keep the synchronization with upstream easy no changes to the original files are allowed under dts/. Instead changes to upstream dts files will be done using overlays in arch/$ARCH/dts/. To use common for all SD/MMC host controllers line +polarity properties, we have to fix the meaning of the "normal" and "inverted" +line levels. We choose to follow the SDHCI standard, which specifies both those +lines as "active low." Therefore, using the "cd-inverted" property means, that +the CD line is active high, i.e. it is high, when a card is inserted. Similar +logic applies to the "wp-inverted" property. + +CD and WP lines can be implemented on the hardware in one of two ways: as GPIOs, +specified in cd-gpios and wp-gpios properties, or as dedicated pins. Polarity of +dedicated pins can be specified, using *-inverted properties. GPIO polarity can +also be specified using the OF_GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW flag. This creates an ambiguity +in the latter case. We choose to use the XOR logic for GPIO CD and WP lines. +This means, the two properties are "superimposed," for example leaving the +OF_GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW flag clear and specifying the respective *-inverted +property results in a double-inversion and actually means the "normal" line +polarity is in effect. + +Optional SDIO properties: +- keep-power-in-suspend: Preserves card power during a suspend/resume cycle +- enable-sdio-wakeup: Enables wake up of host system on SDIO IRQ assertion + +Example: + +sdhci@ab000000 { + compatible = "sdhci"; + reg = <0xab000000 0x200>; + interrupts = <23>; + bus-width = <4>; + cd-gpios = <&gpio 69 0>; + cd-inverted; + wp-gpios = <&gpio 70 0>; + max-frequency = <50000000>; + keep-power-in-suspend; + enable-sdio-wakeup; +} diff --git a/dts/Bindings/mmc/mmci.txt b/dts/Bindings/mmc/mmci.txt new file mode 100644 index 0000000000..2b584cae35 --- /dev/null +++ b/dts/Bindings/mmc/mmci.txt @@ -0,0 +1,15 @@ +* ARM PrimeCell MultiMedia Card Interface (MMCI) PL180/1 + +The ARM PrimeCell MMCI PL180 and PL181 provides an interface for +reading and writing to MultiMedia and SD cards alike. + +This file documents differences between the core properties described +by mmc.txt and the properties used by the mmci driver. + +Required properties: +- compatible : contains "arm,pl18x", "arm, primecell". +- arm,primecell-periphid : contains the PrimeCell Peripheral ID. + +Optional properties: +- mmc-cap-mmc-highspeed : indicates whether MMC is high speed capable +- mmc-cap-sd-highspeed : indicates whether SD is high speed capable diff --git a/dts/Bindings/mmc/mxs-mmc.txt b/dts/Bindings/mmc/mxs-mmc.txt new file mode 100644 index 0000000000..515addc200 --- /dev/null +++ b/dts/Bindings/mmc/mxs-mmc.txt @@ -0,0 +1,27 @@ +* Freescale MXS MMC controller + +The Freescale MXS Synchronous Serial Ports (SSP) can act as a MMC controller +to support MMC, SD, and SDIO types of memory cards. + +This file documents differences between the core properties in mmc.txt +and the properties used by the mxsmmc driver. + +Required properties: +- compatible: Should be "fsl,-mmc".
