The code that uses TEXT_BASE will fail on reading truncated 32-bit
address if running with 64BIT enabled. As we only support running from
compatibility segments (i.e. no 'proper' 64-bit base addresses), simply
make sure the value is sign-extended when passing it as a define.

For some reasons, object file format was not passed to the linker when
linking PBL, leading for a bunch of "ABI is incompatible with that of
the selected emulation" errors. Fix it, and also remove duplicate flags
being passed when linking barebox proper.

To verify only Kconfig/Makefile is touched:
git show --numstat --format=oneline HEAD | grep -v 'Kconfig\|Makefile'
will print only arch/powerpc/Kbuild.
To verify nothing unexpected is added:

The -nostdlib option requests the compiler to not use the standard
system startup files or libraries when linking.
arch/kvm/Makefile adds it to KBUILD_CFLAGS/AFLAGS, but it does not make
sense because those are unrelated to linking.
arch/{mips,riscv,x86}/Makefile passes it to the linker, but it is not
sensible either. As noted above, adding -nostdlib makes sense only
when $(CC) is used as a linker driver, but $(LD) is directly used for
linking barebox. (ld.bfd/ld.lld recognizes the -nostdlib flag, but its
behavior is obscure, and unneeded here.)

Starting v4.13, Linux always uses thin archive instead of relocatable
ELF to combine builtin objects.
The thin archive is basically a text file that only contains paths to
object files.
As Linux commit 98ced886dd79 mentioned, this has a lot of benefits:
- save disk space for builds
- speed-up building a little
- fix some issues when liking a giant executable (for example,
allyesconfig on ARM Linux)
- work better with dead code elimination
The last one is important for barebox because pbl highly relies on the
dead code elimination (-f{function,data}-sections and --gc-sections)
dropping symbols that are unreachable from the linker's entry point.
The dead code elimination does not work if the same symbol names are
used in the pevious incremental link mechanism because the same name
symbols all go into the same section.
Commit a83c97f2a406 ("ARM: socfpga: generate smaller images when
multiple boards are selected") worked around it by giving a dedicate
section to each of the same name symbols. This workaround can go away.
built-in.o was renamed to built-in.a since it is now an archive.
built-in-pbl.o was renamed to built-in.pbl.a for consistency.

In old days, Linux also used to use well-known variables such CFLAGS,
CPPFLAGS, etc.
They were prefixed with KBUILD_ presumably for preventing users from
overriding them accidentally.
Rename as follows:
CFLAGS -> KBUILD_CFLAGS
AFLAGS -> KBUILD_AFLAGS
CPPFLAGS -> KBUILD_CPPFLAGS
LDFLAGS -> KBUILD_LDFLAGS
HOSTCFLAGS -> KBUILD_HOSTCFLAGS
HOSTCXXFLAGS -> KBUILD_HOSTCXXFLAGS
HOSTLDFLAGS -> KBUILD_HOSTLDFLAGS
HOST_LOADLIBES -> KBUILD_HOSTLDLIBS
HOSTCFLAGS, HOSTCXXFLAGS, HOSTLDFLAGS, HOSTLDLIBS are re-used to allow
users to pass-in additional flags to the host compiler.

The previous commit renamed barebox-pbl-common because you cannot
export a variable that contain hyphens.
These variables are not exported for now. I am just renaming them for
consistency.
barebox-common -> BAREBOX_OBJS
barebox-lds -> BAREBOX_LDS
If barebox moves the link rules into scripts/link-barebox.sh like
Linux did, these two must be exported anyway.

When setting CONFIG_PBL_RELOCATABLE=y (selected by PBL_MULTI_IMAGES) and
CONFIG_RELOCATABLE=n (trying to reduce image size), the PBL is also
linked with "-static" instead of "-pie". The result is a non-working
PBL.
As a side effect, also get rid of erroneous "-Map barebox.map" when
linking the PBL.
Only changed for ARM, are any other platforms affected?

Currently, "make defconfig" is only supported for sandbox and x86.
I set KBUILD_DEFCONFIG to support "make defconfig" where I was able
to find a suitable one.
nios2 and openrisc have a single generic_defconfig, so it is definitely
good for KBUILD_DEFCONFIG.
For arm, mips, I assume qemu is a preferred choice over a real board.
blackfin has only one defconfig. Since it is inactive (it is gone in
Linux), so no more defconfig will come in.
I am not sure about ppc and riscv, so I did not touch them.

this patch i a port of following patch from u-boot with some additional
integration changes and fixes of original code:
| Subject: [PATCH] MIPS: Stop building position independent code
|
| U-Boot has up until now built with -fpic for the MIPS architecture,
| producing position independent code which uses indirection through a
| global offset table, making relocation fairly straightforward as it
| simply involves patching up GOT entries.
|
| Using -fpic does however have some downsides. The biggest of these is
| that generated code is bloated in various ways. For example, function
| calls are indirected through the GOT & the t9 register:
|
| 8f998064 lw t9,-32668(gp)
| 0320f809 jalr t9
|
| Without -fpic the call is simply:
|
| 0f803f01 jal be00fc04 <puts>
|
| This is more compact & faster (due to the lack of the load & the
| dependency the jump has on its result). It is also easier to read &
| debug because the disassembly shows what function is being called,
| rather than just an offset from gp which would then have to be looked up
| in the ELF to discover the target function.
|
| Another disadvantage of -fpic is that each function begins with a
| sequence to calculate the value of the gp register, for example:
|
| 3c1c0004 lui gp,0x4
| 279c3384 addiu gp,gp,13188
| 0399e021 addu gp,gp,t9
|
| Without using -fpic this sequence no longer appears at the start of each
| function, reducing code size considerably.
|
| This patch switches U-Boot from building with -fpic to building with
| -fno-pic, in order to gain the benefits described above. The cost of
| this is an extra step during the build process to extract relocation
| data from the ELF & write it into a new .rel section in a compact
| format, plus the added complexity of dealing with multiple types of
| relocation rather than the single type that applied to the GOT. The
| benefit is smaller, cleaner, more debuggable code. The relocate_code()
| function is reimplemented in C to handle the new relocation scheme,
| which also makes it easier to read & debug.
|
| Taking maltael_defconfig as an example the size of u-boot.bin built
| using the Codescape MIPS 2016.05-06 toolchain (gcc 4.9.2, binutils
| 2.24.90) shrinks from 254KiB to 224KiB.

-Wmissing-prototypes is a useful warning, so add it to the build.
With this we can detect conflicting function prototypes. When a file
implements a function but doesn't include the header file which
provides the prototype for it then conflicting prototypes would go
unnoticed without this warning.
MIPS already had that warning, so we can remove it from the MIPS
Makefile.

Currently, MIPS is the only architecture that needs
include/generated/asm-offsets.h, but we have got ./Kbuild file now.
It is a good reason to move asm-offsets.h rule from arch/mips/Makefile
to ./Kbuild and add dummy asm-offsets.c for the other architectures.
asm-offsets.h would be useful for all the architectures.
This commit does not implement include/generated/bounds.h,
but if necessary, it is easy to implement it.

This board support code can be used for TP-LINK WR703 too.
TP-LINK WR703 is very similar to TP-LINK MR3020, there are
some non-essential differences:
* WR703 is smaller and cheaper;
* WR703 has only one led, but MR3020 has five leds;
* MR3020 uses mini-USB connector, WR703 uses micro-USB connector.

This patch is based on ARM pbl support and allows
creating a pre-bootloader binary for compressed image.
For different MIPS SoCs (or even for different boards based
on the same SoC) the operations carried on in start-pbl.S
can be very different. The additional constraints can be imposed
on the size of the boot code or the special magic labels in
the beginning of the boot code; In some cases it could be
necessary to show CPU is alive as early as possible
(transmit a char via UART or blink a LED).
So the demands for pbl start operation can be very different.
E.g. malta board store boot code at the NOR flash mapped
to the MIPS power-on address (0xbfc00000); it is the most
simple case: we need just copy pbl image from direct-mapped
flash to RAM and jump there.
The XBurst-powered boards store boot code in the beginning
of a NAND flash or in the beginning of SD/MMC card.
In this case we must use simple and short NAND or SD/MMC access
routines to copy pbl image to RAM.
To meet so different demands a simple technique is selected:
* MIPS pbl entry point located in file arch/mips/boot/start-pbl.S.
* MIPS pbl code (see start-pbl.S) assumes that every pbl-enabled
board has a arch/mips/boards/<BOARD>/include/board/board_pbl_start.h
header file. This file must contain definition of
the board_pbl_start macro. This macro is used as start of pbl image;
* the most popular asm routines (stack setup, relocation to link
address, NS16550 initialization (WIP) and so on) are containt
in the arch/mips/include/asm/pbl_macros.h header file.
So board pbl macro can use it if necessary.
It is possible to create similar headers with macros for each
specific SoC; so even if we have many different boards based
on the same SoC the board_pbl_start macro for every board
can be short and clear.
* after board-specific initialization the stack pointer
is initialized and pbl C code is started.

MIPS: make possible board-specific header files
This patch makes possible to put a board-specific
header file (e. g. foobar.h) to arch/mips/boards/*/include/board/.
breaks the out-of-tree build for the boards that use it (rzx50).
