* ARM: i.MX: remove platform device registration helpersSascha Hauer13 days1-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | With two exceptions the imx_add_* platform device registration helpers are no longer used, so remove them. In two cases a framebuffer is still registered with a helper function. Replace them with add_generic_device(). Link: https://lore.barebox.org/20240411071122.696683-1-s.hauer@pengutronix.de Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* ARM: mach-types: don't generate header at buildtimeAhmad Fatoum2024-01-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Now that we have removed 4642 machine types unused by barebox, we are just left with 65 boards. Let's just include the generated header in the source tree and stop generating the header anew at build time. * ARM: i.MX: Move mach header files to include/mach/imxSascha Hauer2023-03-063-11/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | Currently arch specific headers can be included with #include <mach/xxx.h>. With upcoming multi-arch support this is no longer possible as there won't be a single mach anymore. Move all i.MX specific header files to include/mach/imx/ to prepare for multi-arch support. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

* ARM: i.MX: add SPDX-License-Identifier for DCDAhmad Fatoum2022-01-051-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | In absence of a license statement, the default is GPL-2.0-only. Add that to the DCD files. All of // /* */ # are acceptable comment characters in the DSL. If there are nearby comments in the file, the same character is used, otherwise #. | * arm/boards: Replace license boilerplate by SPDX identfiersUwe Kleine-König2020-07-141-10/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This adapts all files that were identifed by licensecheck (https://salsa.debian.org/build-common-team/licensecheck.git) as licensed under the GPL. The copyright situation isn't trivially clear for these files, so I didn't replace the copyright statement here with machine-parseable tags. While touching these files also do some minor comment reformatting to get some uniform layout. * | scripts: imx-image: rename dcdofs to ivtofsSascha Hauer2020-07-141-1/+1
|/ | | | | | | | | This renames the dcdofs config option in the imx-image tool to ivtofs. dcdofs is a misnomer. The DCD (Device Configuration Data) is only one part of the data linked into the IVT (Image Vector Table), but the meaning of the option is really the latter, not the former. * ARM: i.MX6: Embedsky E9: remove inaccurate commentAhmad Fatoum2019-11-081-5/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The board support is likely copied from the freescale-mx6-sabrelite, which requires some GPIOs setup before Ethernet is usable. There is no GPIOs used in this board's code, so remove the comment and along it the <gpio.h> header. * ARM: return positive offset in get_runtime_offset()Sascha Hauer2018-03-211-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | When we are linked at 0x0 and running at 0x01000000 then get_runtime_offset() should return 0x01000000 and not 0xff000000. This makes get_runtime_offset() more consistent and better understandable. This was tested on a Freescale i.MX53 Quickstart board. Additionally relocate_to_adr() was tested since that is normally not called. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* ARM: imx: remove DCD files from MakefilesLucas Stach2017-07-201-2/+1
| | | | | | | | The current multi-image mechnism builds them as needed, so there is no reason to include them in the Makefiles. Remove them before this spreads even more. Signed-off-by: Lucas Stach <l.stach@pengutronix.de>
* ARM: imx: use register defines in imxcfg files instead of plain numbersUwe Kleine-König2017-07-071-83/+86
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This makes the imxcfg files more readable and also makes it possible to share more assignments between machines that just differ by the used SoC. (Though I have to admit that in the cases converted here it just more easily allows to see that the RAM config differs more than probably necessary.) This change is intended to have no effect on the built artifacts. Signed-off-by: Uwe Kleine-König <u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Lucas Stach <l.stach@pengutronix.de>

* | string: Fix (v)asprintf prototypesSascha Hauer2016-04-151-2/+2
|/ | | | | | | | | | Our asprintf and vasprintf have different prototypes than the glibc functions. This causes trouble when we want to share barebox code with userspace code. Change the prototypes for (v)asprintf to match the glibc prototypes. Since the current (v)asprintf are convenient to use change the existing functions to b(v)asprintf. * sizes.h: move include/sizes.h to include/linux/sizes.hMasahiro Yamada2015-01-082-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This file originates in Linux. Linux has it under include/linux/ directory since commit dccd2304cc90. Let's move it to the same place as well in barebox. This commit was generated by the following commands: find -name '*.[chS]' | xargs sed -i -e 's:<sizes.h>:<linux/sizes.h>:' git mv include/sizes.h include/linux/ Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* defaultenv-2: Make use of nonvolatile variablesSascha Hauer2014-11-063-7/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This moves the variable assignments previously done in /env/config-board to non volatile variables in /env/nv/. This makes the settings adjustable by the user without editing a file. Most of the changes are simple conversions which for many boards makes /env/config-board unnecessary. Some boards had some logic to assign global.boot.default based on the current bootsource. This has been moved to /env/init/bootsource. An additional check is added to not overwrite a nv.boot.default should it exist. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
